CookStache Is Live: The Free BBQ Cook Log App Is on the App Store
CookStache is live on the App Store.
It started with a brisket. The best one I ever cooked, and I could not recreate it — I could not remember which rub I used, what temp I ran, or when I pulled it. Meanwhile my shelf had three bottles of the same sauce on it because I kept forgetting what I already owned.
So I built the app I wanted. CookStache is a free BBQ cook log app for iPhone that tracks your rubs, sauces, and seasonings, logs every cook, and gives you AI-powered suggestions based on what you actually own. After a few months in beta with backyard grillers hammering on it, it is out today for everyone.
What it does
Scan your stache. Point your camera at a label or barcode and CookStache identifies the product and adds it to your inventory. A whole shelf takes a few minutes.
Log every cook. Protein, rub, pit temp, stages, wood, time, and your own rating. Pull up any past cook and see exactly what you did.
Cook it again, guided. Nailed it once? Guided Cook walks you through your own best cook step by step, so a great result stops being an accident.
Get AI suggestions. CookStache looks at what is on your shelf and suggests what to cook and what pairs well — not recipes that send you to the store for six things you do not have.
Share it at The Potluck. When a cook turns out great, post it to our community feed. Browse what other grillers are making, save a cook that looks good, and see exactly what you would need from your own stache to make it.

CookStache is free on the App Store. Scanning, cook logging, Guided Cook, AI suggestions, and The Potluck are all included. No subscription. It works with any setup — pellet, offset, kamado, gas, kettle, or griddle — because it logs your cooks instead of controlling your pit.
